1974 Rolls Royce Converted1974 Rolls Royce ConvertedA 1974 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow has been converted into a vehicle capable of hitting 0-60mph in just 1.5 seconds, an Essex car enthusiast Matthew Wright 45, bought the vehicle off eBay for just £200 and put together a team he handpicked and helpers among the town to rebuild the car and make it into a real purpose in fact his object was to make the car the fastest possible. His team then fitted a 9.7litre twin turbocharged V8 engine which they claimed at the start to have enough power to beat match £1million Bugatti Veyron which is currently the world’s fastest road car. Even though the car has a massive 2,300 brake horsepower, the car is actually road legal and good news for car lovers, although we wouldn’t like to view the price of the car insurance which is slapped on to the machine. They have named the car Outlaw which is for the result of the modification and the car has jumped in value from £200 to just over £120,000 not bad for £200 car we must say. The car can hit up too 200mph in less than seven seconds and with Rolls Royce quoting that the loudest thing in their cars is the 60mph clock, the owners said were going to need a louder clock. The car now only requires a handbrake which will make it completely legal and they are planning to take the car to a Drag Week in 2012 where the car will compete in races over there. |
